The model proposed in the PULSOS platform as a technological tool to assist the police and the citizen, is part of the development of an implementation plan of Community Surveillance by Quadrant, an operational strategy of the Police service, aimed at ensuring the conditions of security and citizen coexistence, with the assignment of responsibilities in a specific area potentiating knowledge and police action, through a comprehensive model of police service, which is supported by technological and management tools framed in quality principles.

PULSES Mobile App: that will allow the police officer to inform the security agencies, medical services, fire department and other service institutions, if an assistance service is required for immediate attention within the quadrants.

PULSES Monitor (Backend): Pulsos has a large control center with a monitoring module where it will visualize the emergency events that occurred within the quadrants, received through Pulsos Móvil. In the same way they will be able to consult on the map, thematic of the quadrants with greater incidences of events, heat maps, among others. Pulses Monitoring (backend) will be composed of the following modules:

PULSES "Optional APP": Within the "Optional App", we have an App intended for the citizen that will allow him to report problems to the bodies of security such as robberies, fires, health problems such as COVID, etc.

Pulse Monitoring Features

Through the PULSOS Monitoring application, the operator will be able, among other things:

Complete the Pulse Log: It allows you to keep track of the reported events and interact with the system and with the police officer, with the aim of knowing the detail of the facts and the way in which the situation was solved.

Quadrant Definition

A quadrant is a sector or fixed geographical area on which, based on its social, demographic and geographical characteristics, it receives different types of police service attention, among which are the prevention, deterrence and control of crimes and contraventions, under principles of integrality, co-responsibility and quality work. The quadrants can be defined using demographic contextualization, according to the analysis of variables such as victimization, diagnostic appreciation, socioeconomic activity, crime rate, population rate, citizen perception or simply the territorial political division.

With the tool APP or Mobile APP, police officers, after completing a registration form and activating the GPS of their mobile, can report public safety events, traffic events, natural disaster events, forest fires, among other events that deserve immediate attention. They will also be able to attach images, audios or photos to the events to support the emergency. The Mobile Pulses App can be downloaded from Google Play or failing that by loading and running an APK.

The advantage of registering the police officer in the PULSOS mobile application is that when he makes emergency calls or reports an incident within the quadrants, he will already be fully identified and his geographical location will already be known, which will allow a more timely response

Integration PULSES and GTRMax (Optional)

To reinforce the operations of the PULSOS platform through the "Monitoring" it is proposed to combine the geographical potentialitiesof the PULSOS platform with the Geolocation and the alert system it provides and all the virtues that a Vehicle Management and Monitoring System (GTR)provides. The integration of PULSOS and the GTRMax Fleet Management (GTR) platform, seeks that all the location information of the surveillance and protection units of national security, can be used within the PULSE Monitoring tool, to help the incidents reported by police officials to be attended to in a faster and more efficient way

Its primary objective is to allow the best use of the time in which the units patrol the security quadrants, achieving greater effectiveness in the management of the resources they have for this purpose.

This integration pursues the optimization of the use of patrols and vehicles used by police officers, by managing the information of their geographical location in real time, integrating all the necessary information in the monitoring console of the PULSOS application
